This Spanish numbers listening activity will hold the attention of your students as they make their way around the oval writing the Spanish numbers that you dictate. Students practice Spanish unequal comparative adjectives with Spanish family and pets vocabulary. There are 14 sentences total, 10 sentences that use más + adjective + que, and 4 sentences that use menos + adjective + que. Spanish Color by Numbers House - Los Colores - This download contains 2 sets of 3 different versions of a scene containing a house, 2 birds, clouds and the sun. One set uses anaranjado for orange, and the other uses naranja. Each contains a word bank with numbers corresponding to the colors of the various images. While the images are the same on all 3, the colors vary from one scene to the next. You can either use all 3 versions on the same day by distributing a third of each to your students or use them on 3 different occasions so students have the benefit of reviewing the colors over an extended period.

Add some culture to your grammar assignments! This Spanish family homework assignment contains 7 questions about a family portrait done by Colombian artist Fernando Botero. Students must respond in complete sentences using family vocabulary, adjectives and ages based on their observations of the painting. Students are also instructed to write a Spanish family word on each line pointing to family members in the painting. The answer key is included.

Combine grammar and family vocabulary with culture! This activity includes 8 questions about Pablo Picasso's portrait "Soler Family Breakfast on the Grass". Students respond to questions about age, appearance, clothing, the meaning of the painting title, and animals in the painting. Student answers will vary, but a sample answer key is included. This is a skit between 2 friends discussing their family members and pets. It's short enough to memorize and utilizes a variety of family and pet vocabulary (12 different words), the words mayor and menor, hay, 2 tener conjugations and cuantas. Students translate 40 English to Spanish sentences with the following irregular verbs: poner, poder, saber, tener, venir, caber, haber, decir, salir, hacer, valer and querer. The sentences contain several adverbs of time, such as today, soon and tonight, and the vocabulary used is fairly common, with words such as verbs, secrets, box, friends, chicken and shoes.
